We don't have any pictures of fireworks or any other really fun activities from the Fourth...it was too hot for mommy to brave walking to the park to watch the fireworks...so we ended up watching them from our hotel room. We stayed at a hotel the weekend of the Fourth while they painted our kitchen cabinets and did some other toxic smelling construction type things at the house. We chose a hotel close to the fireworks in Addison (Dallas suburb) and as luck would have it we were able to get a room on the 8th floor that looked out directly at the fireworks! Maddie was very very excited to see them. We planned on decorating Maddie's stroller and going to the Fourth of July parade in Lakewood the next morning, but we didn't quite make it out of bed in time and instead had a lazy day at the hotel.
