Grant loves his rice cereal and oatmeal! Actually Mr. Independent loves to hold and chew on the spoon. He doesn't so much eat the cereal - it's more like a tug of war for the spoon. I usually give up and just let him have it, which seems to make him pretty happy (see photo!)...
Madeline is the slowest eater in the universe. We usually start her at the table about 5-10 minutes before we sit down...we all eat...we clean up...I feed Grant...and by the end Maddie is still working on her dinner.

I think Grant is happy to finally be in on the family dinner action now that he is eating solids. He always used to look a little left out sitting in his exersaucer next to the table while the rest of us ate.
