Blue and white plates courtesy of Grandma S. and Grandpa T. And the best part...I hung them just right on the first try (for the most part anyway...okay, so they are a little crooked but you can't really tell in person and to be honest it was really hard to measure and I just wanted to be done!). You can't really tell from the picture, but both archways lead out of the kitchen...the refrigerator cabinet is in between them - you can kind of see it on the right in the bottom picture - I couldn't really get a good shot with both archways in the frame. Also, the walls are a yellowy/beige color but for some reason they get washed out in pictures and look white. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for scouting out our cute new plates!
Disclaimer: Although I am posting decorating-type things on my blog I do not presume to be any good at decorating - anything - really. I just pick out things I like and hope it all works together (which seems like a good plan because I have always loved the cottage-eclectic look, which as it turns out, is quite difficult to achieve...maybe one day I will be able to hire someone who actually knows what they are doing to help me!)
