Madeline is out of pre-school this week for spring break - so yesterday Mike took Maddie and Grant to the Dallas Zoo. It's pretty close to our house, but we had never been there before (we usually make the trek to the Fort Worth Zoo because it is awesome). The weather was beautiful and they had a great time. Here Maddie is hamming it up for the camera. Grant napped through most of the visit.
The kids' play area was a ton of fun (Maddie is inside an egg that is hatching...) 
...with her new lion she picked out at the zoo gift shop. She also picked out a little present for Grant - a book about "My First Trip to the Zoo" - what a great big sister!
